Who we are

The Law Consultancy Network is a network of consultants who work with law firms and who operate independently of each other. See ‘the legal stuff’  for more information.

Law Consultancy Network is committed to complying with applicable legal requirements for keeping your data secure including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Personal data

This policy describes Law Consultancy Network’s current policies and practices with regard to personal data collected by us through our website www.lawconsultancynetwork.co.uk. The term ‘personal data’ refers to personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, date of birth, telephone number, e-mail address or postal address.

Cookies

We use ‘cookies’ on our website. They are small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. How we use your personal data

We use personal data to provide you with information about Law Consultancy Network’s members if you fill in the ‘contact us’ form on the website, so we will only hold information about you with your express consent or as part of, or in anticipation of, a contract between us.

We do not share information with anyone except for Law Consultancy Network members, except for our website provider, in the course of their work, and we require them to apply GDPR standards to any data they may have access to. If you decide to instruct a member of the Network, their individual data protection policy and procedures will apply.

If you decide not to instruct a member of the Network, the information you have supplied will be securely destroyed within three months.

We may change our privacy policy from time to time. If you use our website, please check for an updated version.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm what data we hold on you. If you think we have got something wrong, you can ask us to correct the information we hold. You can ask us to erase any data we hold on you (although we may not be able to comply if we need the information to meet a legal obligation). You will need to supply two forms of valid ID.
